Welcome to Abivale, South Oxfordshire’s most established veterinary group. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary services for you and your pets, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We practice out of five surgeries in Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Wantage and Oxford.

Our Head Office and primary centre for surgery is based at The Vineyard, Abingdon. There has been a veterinary practice here since 1852.

24 hour Emergency Cover

We only use our own Veterinary Surgeons for our Out of Hours and Emergency Cover.
In an emergency please telephone your usual Surgery during working hours, or the Out of Hours Emergency Number 01235 524777.
We practice out of five surgeries in Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Wantage and Oxford.  We will arrange for our Duty Veterinary Surgeon to respond to your call. Abingdon Animal Hospital receives all our out of hours emergencies. There is a nurse on duty at the Hospital 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All patient records from every surgery are immediately accessible to the On Call Vet and Nurse.

So, wherever you are, and whenever you need help, you are never far from an Abivale practice, Abivale expert advice and Abivale care and attention, just when you really need it.

Consultations

We offer consultations seven days a week, by appointment only.
Please see each surgery for individual opening times.

Routine procedures

Our routine surgical procedures are performed Monday to Friday and include:

• Spaying (female neutering)
• Castration (male neutering) 
• Microchipping 
• Orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery  
  
• Endoscopy and Ultrasound examinations
• On-site X-ray facilities and diagnosis from our fully equipped, modern laboratory.
